WORKSHOP OVERVIEW
This workshop is for the primary classroom teacher trying to integrate thinking skills while teaching science, social studies, literature, math in any board, or curriculum. We will watch and experience our thoughts becoming visible and concrete. We will challenge ourselves with both convergent and divergent thinking tasks, as well learn how to showcase student cognition in our classrooms. We will leverage technology, our large numbers of students, and our innate can-do spirit to create intentional lesson plans that would improve the rigor of our classrooms. Our goal is to challenge our own thinking and that of our students’, so we all become more flexible, fluent, original, and creative in the ways we approach real life and academics.
